15. Costa Diadema ($620 million)
Fincantieri took two years to complete the ship from the day it was ordered in 2012. Within those years, €550 million ($620 million) were spent to build the ship and its popular features. Among them is the retractable roof covering three swimming pools and three large dining rooms which serve top-class Italian cuisine.
If I were you, I would go straight to the Birreria Dresden Green. We may find some of the world’s most expensive beers in this German-themed beer garden.
Check yourself into one of Costa Diadema’s luxury suites. I suggest the Grand Suite with Ocean View Balcony on Deck 7. With just $900 per 6-day cruise, you can pamper yourself with this luxury.
14. Carnival Vista ($780 million)
The cost to build this cruise ship was around $780 million. Some of those were spent to build awesome features such as the SkyRide. On its top deck, you can experience thrilling sensation inside pedal-powered capsules.
Its other signature feature is the SkyGreens. It is a mini golf course located on Deck 12. Who says going to the sea means leaving all fun on the land behind?
If you happen to be in Miami this November, you can get the chance to see the Carnival Vista with your own eyes. It is pretty big, you will notice it even from afar.
13. Liberty of the Seas ($800 million)
This particular ship was built in 2007. And it cost around $800 million. For its maximum occupancy, it can take up to 4,000 passengers. Just like most exclusive cruise ships, over one thousand crews are on board for service.
Like its sister ships, Liberty of the Seas is known for its super sport features such as on-board FlowRider wave generated surfing facility. How cool is that?
It has everything you need. From all kinds of restaurants to nightclub and theater, you name it, you can find it.
12. Freedom of the Seas ($800 million)
When it was first laid down, it was the biggest passenger ship ever. The record was broken by its own sister ships.
Like the previous cruise ship from Royal Caribbean, this too has amazing sport facilities. In terms of capacity and crews, they share similar numbers as well.
If you get the chance to be inside this masterpiece, make sure to spend times at the Royal Promenade. It is a luxurious interior promenade inside the ship. And it features all sorts of entertainment.
11. Independence of the Seas ($828 million)
This is the successor of Freedom of the Seas and the last from Freedom-class Royal Caribbean cruise ship line. With almost 4,500-passenger capacity, this was the world’s largest passenger ship before the Oasis-class was born.
Passengers on board are pampered with tons of on-board entertainment. When the sun is shining outside, head on to the H2O Zone that has sports pool and whirlpools with bars.
Shopaholics will love the Promenade inside this ship. It was designed like a shopping street where shops and bars are lining up and inviting you to come in.
10. Norwegian Breakaway ($840 million)
Bringing your children along in a cruise can be challenging. Especially with those party goers on board who are there to dance nonstop until they drop.
In 2013, this cruise ship was designed based on that premise. As a result, it features facilities and amenities such as children swimming area which are especially designed for kids.
It took around two years for Meyer Werft to build this masterpiece. And the construction cost around $840 million.
9. Disney Dream ($900 million)
The Disney Dream made its maiden voyage back in 2011. It took four years since it was first ordered. Meyer Werft built the ship with $900 million of cost.
The vessel can accommodate 4,000 passengers plus over one thousand crew members on-board to make sure you have the best time of your life. With such capacity, it should come as no surprise that it is 40% larger than its two predecessors, Disney Magic and Disney Wonder.
It is not Disney without facilities for all ages. Even children and teenagers will love spending time on-board with this cruise ship.
8. Norwegian Escape ($920 million)
This cruise ship can take around 4,000 passengers. And the number of crews is almost a half of that. That is how serious they are about service.
With such capacity, it should come as no surprise that Norwegian Escape is the second largest vessel of the fleet. It is so big that it costs $219,000 per berth.
In terms of features, food lovers will be pampered with gastronomy as they spend time on board. One of the best restaurants they have is owned by a famous chef, Jose Garces. Enjoy some Latin seafood dishes!

7. Quantum of the Seas ($935 million)
Like most Royal Caribbean’s vessels, this one too was built by Meyer Werft. Before they come up with the name, it was called Project Sunshine during construction in 2011. Three years later, after spending $935 million, Quantum of the Seas went on its maiden voyage.
Being the second largest class, this ship costs $231,000 per berth. It is registered at Nassau, Bahamas port.

6. Anthem of the Seas ($940 million)

The Norwegian Epic was built by Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. Since its maiden voyage, it has been representing the cruise line’s third generation of freestyle cruising vessels.
This particular ship put Norwegian Cruise Line aligned with mega cruise hospitality companies such as Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line.
Out of its total capacity, the vessel can accommodate over 4,000 guests and 1,500 crew members. In addition to that service, it offers facilities like aqua park, live entertainment options, world-class restaurants, and many more.
3. Oasis of the Seas ($1.3 billion)
This cruise ship is so big that it costs $240,000 on each berth. It took three years for STX Europe Turku Shipyard of Finland to finish this mega vessel for around $1.3 billion.
Ordered in February 2006 and designed under the name “Project Genesis”, it offers a great number of facilities such as casino, miniature golf course, theme park, nightclub, and the list goes on.
Measuring 1,187 feet in length and 236 feet in height, this luxurious cruise ship can accommodate over 5,000 passengers and 2,000 crew members.
2. Harmony of the Seas ($1.35 billion)
Royal Caribbean first ordered the ship to STX France SA shipyard in 2012. Four years later, and $1.35 billion after, almost 7,000 passengers plus over 2,000 crew members can get on board to experience this luxury voyager.
This one features the new Royal Class suites. Check yourself into one of these suites, and you will be guaranteed to have the best luxury experience on board.

Built by STX Europe Turku Shipyard of Finland from 2007 to 2010, it cost $1.43 billion to build. Like Oasis of the Seas, this was also developed under Project Genesis code.
