A 23-years-old woman has appeared in court accused of raping another a woman at a Brisbane house.
The defendant, who is transitioning from a woman to a man, sat in the dock at the Brisbane Magistrates Court with short hair and a beard.
She is charged with two counts of rape and one count each of deprivation of liberty, causing bodily harm and sexual assault.
It's alleged the offences happened at the accused's house in Brisbane.
The prosecutor said there was "strong evidence" in the case and that the victim had suffered serious injuries.
The defence said consent would be a key issue in the case.
A disease test was ordered on the defendant, who was released on bail.
The case was adjourned to November 21.
