AHEAD OF SUPREME COURT REVIEW TODAY-
calls on Supreme Court Judges to restore the confidence of Nigerians in the Judiciary
The Member Representing the Enterprising people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Nwawuba has called on Imo Masses to remain hopeful and law abiding as they continue to express displeasure over the Supreme Court Judgement on Imo Governorship. The Lawmaker said that he is aware that majority of Imo people were thrown into mourning on 14th January 2020, upon receiving the news of Supreme Court Judgement that sacked the duly elected Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON.
Rt. Hon. Nwawuba said that the cry of Imo Masses is undoubtebly based on the performance of the Governor within 7 Months in office; with special reference to TSA that boasted Imo IGR from #200m to over #1b, permanent solution to pension verification with Biometric data capturing of Imo pensioners that, made our Senior citizens to now receive alert while sleeping, (a big shift from previous where they continue to pass through tedious verification and problems of ghost pensioners). On going quality road construction in the 3 zones of the State. Human capacity Developments through trainings (Youths in Agribusiness, ICT etc). Open government system, where budget and projects biding were made public etc.
Rt. Hon. Nwawuba plead on Imo Masses to be peaceful while expressing their anger over the Supreme Court Judgement, he urged them to pray for Supreme Court Judges who were deceived with fraudulent deceitful evidence from 388 polling units among which election did not hold, while presiding Officers canceled some because of over voting and other electoral irregularities.
He said that the Supreme Court remain the last hope of common Man, sighting that they are human, prone to mistake. Hon. Nwawuba express confidence that the Supreme Court review will reverse her earlier judgment to restore the confidence of Nigerians in the Judiciary and return lasting peace in Imo State.
